Make sure that you are logged into your account. This will give you access to all films. You can search for films through various filters, such as age range, presenters, themes or artists.

Our team has been working closely with schools, educators and art experts to produce films on artists and artworks we believe are key to any art-historical education. For our 14-18 and advanced films, we have been working alongside the A level, IB and AP curriculums to ensure we offer videos that can help you with your studies. Certain choices are personal, many of our presenters chose the artworks they wanted to discuss.

Our young presenters are all students who have engaged with art throughout their lives in different ways. Our presenters range from ARTiculation finalists, aspiring art historians, university students from across the country and art activists. Our advanced presenters are all art professionals from leading institutions. Find more about each individual presenter on our ‘meet us’ page.

Of course! In fact, we encourage it! The age ranges are just indicative. Your membership gives you access to all Academy content. Parents please note that any content which may be unsuitable for younger children will be flagged at the beginning of the film.

The films vary in length according to the age ranges and to the content. Films for 7-11-year-olds are usually between 3-4 minutes, 11-14 are between 4-5 minutes and films for 14-18-year-olds are between 5-6 minutes. Advanced films are longer and last between 5 and 8 minutes.

We aim to upload a new film once a week. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to get notified!

Some of our films have a mortarboard icon on the video detail page - this means that the film in question relates to the A-Level, AP or International Baccalaureate syllabus.

You will notice certain words in the films appear in green on the screen - these words are in our glossary of terms which you may find useful to have defintions of - simply click on the word in the video detail page for the definition.

Feel free to watch the films in any order that you like!
